Blog Post from the 7th

Monday, November 07, 2011

Today has been a good and interesting day. African churches are much less organized than what we experience in the USA. Pam mentioned something about schedule, I mentioned that we were on about Plan "P" having flown though the first ones quickly.

We began with storying about the testing of Abraham and Isaac. We actually got a lot of discussion and participation. We worked through the principles and practicals of storying. Roger begin an quick review of Ephesians and stress Grace significantly … some have issues with works. He was also dealing with the Christian walk. After this we broke up into women and mens groups. I listened in on the women briefly… Mica was doing a great job talking about the sacrifice of Christ its significance and difference between the sacrifice of Christ and that of Rams in Tabasky.

After a late lunch, we fellowshipped and drove to Kontoubou to let them know we would be back on Wednesday. We had a group of young girls do a dance presentation for us and sang to us as well.

We will return to Dialandihoto tomorrow and will readjust the schedule for the rest of the week. We do need to do some work on the vehicle. Jefferson 'missed' one of the "sleeping policemen" and it broke a box that the middle seat sets on.
