Report from West Africa

In our conversation with Pastor Roger, Jennie and Jennifer this morning. Jennifer and Jennie were at the Ziguinchour Airport waiting for their flight to Dakar where they were going to join Sandee Hedger at the Guest House.  They will travel to the retreat hotel sometime on Friday morning.  They will be there until after lunch on Sunday when they return to the Guest House.  They will be there until they fly out on Monday morning at 2:30 a.m.

Pastor Roger is spending the night in Zig at a hotel with an air conditioner. The last night in Canchungo was a hot humid one.  He said he did not get to sleep until 4 a.m. and then got up at 7 for their return.  They were stopped for a security and safety check.  The car had a problem that almost cost them $20 in a fine.  It seemed that their license plate light was not working!  [they are traveling duing the daylight!]

The Pastor's suitcase had made it to Zig where David our missionary, had picked it up.  They will be giving the things that had been carried for the work to some member from the Canchungo church who are traveling to Zig for a large Manjak wedding tomorrow.  Pastor, Joseph, and David will be traveling to Sedhiou in the a.m. Pastor hopes to meet with the Governor of the Sedhiou Region as well as a key leader from Kountombou whom Roger has been witnessing to each time he goes.

He will return to Zig on Saturday, preach Sunday morning and then travel to Dakar late Sunday afternoon.  He will have meetings in Dakar on Monday and fly out to Madrid around 10:30 p.m.  He will not arrive back until Tuesday night.

Bro. Sam
