Praise God ...I arrived safely and am united w/my team! It has been a day ...or longer...of unexpected turns and travels but God has been very gracious and had a few things He wanted to remind me of before my feet touched African soil.
The lasting thing my spiritual eyes saw was a Muslim man two seats down from me that prayed with his prayer beads the entire trip from Lisbon to Dakar. My spirit was grieved to see such a picture of lostness....a man totally devoted to a false god. This morning my scripture reading took me to Psalm 33:20-22 "We wait in hope for the LORD, he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in you".
That is why we come...to share our hope with those who have no hope.
