Dakar
It just so happened today with a group of prayer warriors of Calvary we saw the waters part … the most unbelievable did happen. When we drove up to the ferry at 9:22 a.m, they had us park while the traffic from the ferry was departing going south. At 9:36 they parked us on the ferry (last vehicle) and started raising the ramp and strating the trip. At 9:45 we were pulling off the ferry on the north side … at 10:12 we were through security, customs and immigrations on both sides of the border … heading for Kaolcak!
When this prayer group prays, God does mighty things even in Africa!
We are now setting in Jefferson’s home relaxing … straitening out our legs and bods. We have found it to be much cooler here in Dakar … but with A LOT more traffic.
Russell has talked with Jennifer and I have talked with the prayer group. It is amazing that we can communicate so effectively and quickly.
We were impressed with the spirit and passion of the Manjak in Guinea Bissau. The church at Dialadianghota is solid but lacking the passion that they have in G-B. The Manjak live in the forest of mango and cashew trees. However, G-B lacks so many of the advantages that Senegal has. For example, Canchungo which is fairly large has NO electricity period. They must use solar or a generator. We purchased petrol at a solar powered gas station (and pumps).
The people were really nice and wanted to make sure our ever need was fulfilled. They had a passion that we could see in their eyes when we shared the stories with them.
We will share more later.
Bro. Sam
