Greetings from the Thailand Team. We have now made it through our second day of teaching. It has been a great day for all. The team is doing well in teaching and in health.
As we shared yesterday, we worshipped at the Karin Baptist Church on Sunday with Vannalee.
The Jesus Film is being accepted very well by the students and the teachers. The students are very interested. Some of the students have seen the film in cartoon, some have never seen the film at all.
Brother Roger has been sharing in big session of creation to the cross. He is adding a little to the story each day. This is also being received very well. We have to be careful not to cross the line.
Marinda and Leona went this evening with the translator and one of the teachers from the school to purchase supplies for the school. They are in great need of soap for bathing, shampoo, laundry soap, toothpaste, Tylenol, rice and items needed for the girls. Funding has been provided for these items through a donation that was made by a group of ladies from a Rolla, Missouri Bible study group, as well as team members. There is a new dorm mother this year (she is a new teacher). When we prayer walked on Sunday, we asked if there were things needed for the dorms and she shared that they had no soap for washing their clothes (the clothes were sitting outside in laundry baskets - unable to be washed), no shampoo, no bath soap, and several students had colds but they had no medicine. We told her that we would help.
This was hard for her to understand (she is not Christian) because they had asked some of the Thai people that have funds to help and they turned them down. She didn't understand why we would help. The interpretor shared with her - "THANK GOD". God is working through this team of Americans. They love you and God loves you and that is why they are here and want to help. Pray for this teacher, as we are witnessing to her as well.
Time to say good night! Our brains are gone!!!!!!! We will try to post again tomorrow (if we have Internet access).
Please continue to be in prayer for the team, flexibility, health, the children, our interpreter, our "M", our "M's" family, the Thai teachers, and start praying for safety down the mountain and that no one becomes ill!!! We love you all and will see you soon.
The Thailand Team
