We arrived at the school early this morning and as you can see, were greeted by the students. They have a morning service where they say the pledge to their flag, a prayer, and a song.
As you can see it was off to work right away. Kara and Jonathan have stepped in the role of music leaders very smoothly. Thank you Lord for their flexibility and their willingness to be stretched. We sing praises of "My God is So Big", "Trading My Sorrows", "Waves of Mercy" and "Deep and Wide". These children really enjoy actions with the songs and we were hearing these songs outside of our time of music.

Games are a great way to interact with these children in showing our love and happiness. These parachutes were a tremendous hit. As you can see on the ball in the middle - there is a smiley face. We shared the story of "Jesus and the Children", the song "Jesus Loves Me", the Easter story, the Evangicube, and much much more. We kept telling the children how much Jesus loves them and they can be a child of God.

The story of "Jesus Feeds 5000" was shared, as well as "Joseph's Coat of Many Colors". The kids really enjoyed both of these stories and games (the pretzel log and goldfish relay race and Joseph's Coat relay race).
We come on these journeys thinking that we are blessing the children and in all reality we are the ones being blessed. We asked the children if they would like to share a song and these two young ladies volunteered. Boy, were we so excited to hear the words coming from their voices. "Deep, Deep, Down in My Heart, Do You Love My Jesus, Deep, Deep, Down in My Heart, Yes I Love Your Jesus"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These two young ladies are believers. Just think, if they are sharing that they love Jesus before the other students, what an impact this can be. If one life is reached, another can be reached, and another and this number can grow and grow and grow. If we each sow the seed that has been planted in us - all will have eternal life. We must never forget John 3:16.
Please be in prayer for God to be in contol and that all will be according to His will, as Satan is trying his best to keep them from hearing. There were some distractions today that we pray will be worked out tomorrow. Pray for the hearts of these children and teachers. Pray for the teams and their leaders. Pray for the health of all. Pray for our interpreters and missionairies.
We will say goodnight for now and post again tomorrow.
Again, know that we love you all and appreciate all your prayers and support. This would not be possible without the help from all of you.
Blessings in Christ,
The Thailand Team

Sounds like the mission has been a success thus far-congratulations! The first photo posted on the Aug.3, 2009 page with the childeern standing in line to recite a pledge and prayer brings back memories from my early school days when all the class would stand and say the Pledge of Allegiance prior to the start of the school day. As I sit and reflect I can't help but think that yesterday was better then today in many ways. To close, it is now time to go out and try to the best of my abilities to make today better then yesterday.
