A day in Sansamba

One just never knows what a day in Africa can bring. It has been a full day of fun and laughter. When we pulled into town Bobo was sitting by the telecommunication center selling peanuts. She was so happy to see us. Our visit was wonderful. She continues to study and we are encouraged her to have Antoine help her anytime she can. We also spoke with her regarding baptism and she said that she would like to wait and be baptized when I come back in January. Please continue to pray for her encouragement.

While visiting at Bobo’s the decision was made to purchase a goat for our celebration lunch tomorrow. Well, needless to say that was a new experience for me. Not quite like going to the market in the States!...more like going to the nearby field and seeing who is fast enough to catch it! Ugh! One thing we won’t have to worry about …it will be fresh!

After winding up our visit with Bobo, we traveled down the road to pay a visit to Benjamin and Evelyn. They were 2 more of Tommy’s students. Once again, they had to extend their warm hospitality by preparing us fresh cashew juice. It is quite the process and they worked so hard. As I was watched them “squeeze the fruit” it made me mindful of the Fruits of the Spirit. What fruit are we bearing?...what comes forth when we are “squeezed”? What a practical application of HIS truth!!!

I will miss worshiping with my family tomorrow, but, I couldn’t be more excited to be spending my first Easter in Africa. What an open door that has been to share the Gospel of Christ! May all of you have a blessed Easter as we remember the resurrection of our Lord and Savior!

For His Glory,
Cindy

“Thus by their fruit you will recognize them.” Matt 7:20
