This is the day the Lord hath made!

Our cup is full and overflowing.  It is at times like this that I cannot find the words to express the things that HE has allowed to us see, hear, and feel.

The works of HIS hands were so evident today…in EVERY detail!

The Calvary members are now officially Bapticostals !!!  We danced like never before!!!  Alicia and Charlie Brown have just been amazing. They began each day’s activities the past 2 days with joyful singing. Of course we had to add some action so they chose “If Your Happy and You Know It” and “Father Abraham” ( Moussa our driver even did Father Abraham w/us!!).   Charlie Brown showed his creative side by introducing a few new actions of his own. He also translated one of the songs into French so the kids could not only do the actions but sing. The delight on the children’s faces is unexplainable. We cannot explain the joy we felt in our hearts watching these children sing songs unto HIM.

God stretched each one of us today at the school in Kounayan Mancagne (aka the KM village) by placing us in a different position of teaching and ministering today. We each came prepared to teach our lessons, but God’s plan for some of us was to teach a completely different lesson than what we had prepared…imagine that! Sandee, you would have been so proud!  Each team member was willing to be the putty, allowing God to mold and shape them.  It was HIS plan that we came to do and they did exactly that!!

Russell and Charles were able to present the gospel to 19 teenagers today during break. Tom’s obedience to the Lord and willingness to minister to the people, and the recent showing of the Jesus film by Pastor N’gor, were HUGE seeds that had been planted. Sixteen out of the 19 teenagers gave their lives to Christ today!!! Yeah God!!!!  Hallelujah balloons have filled the African skies!!! They have also asked that we show the Jesus film again this week while we are here. So, that’s just what we’re going to do! Please be in prayer over this.  We plan to show it Wednesday night.

Russell presented the E-soccer ball to the school headmaster by telling what each color on the ball symbolized. Once again the Lord allowed us to end the day by presenting the gospel.  The headmaster stated “you think you have done little but you have done much. The Lord knew we needed a soccer ball.” Their school’s soccer ball was destroyed last year and they had planned on buying a new one this year. However, the funds were just not there. Not only did we present this school with a soccer ball, but it’s God’s soccer ball. How I wish you could have heard the excitement in the children’s voices and could have seen the joy on the children’s faces when Russell brought that ball out! The headmaster was so gracious and stated that words could not express what this day meant to him. He stated that even if he ever had to leave the school, he would never forget it.

Please continue in fervent prayer.  These last 2 days will be at the school in Bloc.  This school has 500 students.  God is doing miraculous thing!

You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. –Matthew 5:13-16

For His kingdom,

Cindy
