In Dakar...

Thanks for your prayers … the trip back did not seem as tough and rough as when going down. Maybe God in preparing to answer your prayers prepared us with a very rough slow ride three times to Manikunda to find and/or visit with Pastor Opa. We left Tom in Sedhiou this morning at 5:30 a.m. We got to the ferry at 8 and were across the Gambia River by 9:30. Moussa took us to his house for lunch and then showed us the tourist town of Saly before getting back on the road for Dakar. The main road is a street that goes through Rufisque so there is a lot of traffic, hawkers, people, buses stopping, etc on that stretch. We arrived here about 4 which is really good considering that we stopped for lunch and took a side trip. We are in the Guest House. It is warmer now than when the medical team first arrived and when they left.

Tomorrow is an easy day. We will prayer walk some in Gran Yoff. We will meet with the business facilitator in the a.m. and will go see if we can purchase a tourist item or two. We will have lunch out. We may go to the western most part of Africa for Robert to see and say that he has been there. Not sure that would mean much on a resume but while he is here, he needs to do it!

Please pray that all will go well and that Tom will get settled in OK. I think he was enjoying the quietness of the day without all of the commotion that went on while we were there. If all goes well for Robert and I, we will fly out of Dakar at 3:25 a.m. arrive Atlanta at 8:20. He will leave for Jackson at 10 a.m. and arrive at 10:30 a.m. I will leave for Springfield at 9:45 arriving at 10:44 a.m.
