Cindy called this morning. She was on her way to the hospital with a patient. The father of the girl that had seizures needed an x-ray. She took the opportunity to call. Here are three prayer issues:
1). That the luggage- supplies-- arrive in Dakar in time so that Kelly and Larry will be able to carry the luggage down with them with the missionary wife that is providing transportation while Kelly and Larry are providing comfort and help if needed.
2) That Cindy's computer will start up again. It has seemingly crashed. Not sure the problem but they cannot not get it to come on.
3) The chief of Bambakounda indicated this morning that he wanted to follow Jesus. However, he is struggling with the fact that he must leave the traditional beliefs of his parents behind. He is fearful of leaving that tradtional belief system and to make everything public. We need to pray for him. The chief says that he recognizes that Jesus is the way and wants to follow Him. There are a couple of pastors ... Pastor Ngor and Pastor Jetta -- who are working with him. Cindy and the doctors gathered around and prayed with and for him. Be in serious prayer for him. If he will completely turn to Christ and make that public, it will have great impact in the community of Bambakounda. We can expect many decisions for Christ, but we can also expect much opposition from Satan. Pray also for the young group of believers in the village of Bambakounda. Pray for Emmanuel who is the leader of that group.
The clinic is going a little slow as it was first starting this a.m. but is running smoothly.
Stay tune for more updates.
Bro. Sam
Sincerely,
