Today has been a wonderful day in the Lord!!! The sweetness of HIS presence at Pastor N'gor's church is so refreshing! First of all Dad gave a short "exhortation" to "lock elbows" as fellow believers. He acknowledge that they had a challenging journey ahead but if they would lock elbows, taking one step at a time, resting in the power of Christ, they would one day complete the race." I can tell you this...there was one proud daughter this the congregation today!!
"Pastor" Joseph gave a message begining w/God's insturction to man in Genesis 1:7-28 to be fruitful and multiply. He then continued w/scripture out of Isaiah 5:1-7, John 15:1-8, Mattherw 21:18-19, James 3:10-12 and Luke 13:6-9. He challenged each of us to examine our lives to see if we were bearing fruit or were we just "fig trees" w/leaves and no fruit.
After the message I had a sweet time of singing w/the children. It is just amazing to see how they can all sing with a mouth full of dum-dums :) I must tell you, the sweetest time for me was my time with Elizabeth. She taught me the lessons she learned at her women's conference in Mbor. It was about the 10 virgins w/lamps of oil. We need to be the 5 wise virgins that had their lamps full of oil...always ready to shine. My heart overflows w/joy when I see her eagerness to learn and her passion to serve the women of this church. She truly has a servant's heart!
We had a very HARD rain last night. Jefferson was not able to go to Dialandighoto (how's that spelling Russell?) Paul is going to try to come to Sedhiou on his moped. Please pray for him as he travels.
We are praying for your services today. We love and miss you all. Mary Beth, you would be very proud of Dad!
For His Kingdom,
Cindy
