We traveled back to Dakar on Tuesday and stopped in Thies to check on Dianke. The surgery went well on Saturday. The infection is healing and the skin graft from the abdomen is also healing very well. Her dressings need to be changed every other day for the next two weeks. She is regaining movement in her arm and the movement in her neck is improving. Jennifer video taped a message from Dianke’s father, mother, and grandmother. There were many smiles as Dianke and her family watched the video. Please continue to pray for complete healing. We were able to sleep in today! Then met up with Jefferson and he showed us the New Tribes Mission office. Jefferson and his wife, Joann, took us to a Brazilian restaurant for lunch. The food was good and the company even better! We went to the artisan village for a little shopping and then came back to the guest house to eat, pack and rest before heading to the airport. We will be heading to the airport shortly. Our flight leaves at 2:40 a.m. Thursday morning (9:40 p.m. Wednesday CST). Please pray for a safe flight!
We love you and thank you for your prayers!
