Meeting Barack...

The team all converged on St. Louis this morning with a plethora of suitcases, totes, duffles, backpacks and anticipation. The Lord showed His favor by providing kind, patient United employees at the check in desk. We managed to pay for only one extra bag, and all other 28ish bags went through the check point without weight assessment! Whoohoo! Nothing left behind!!

Although we met a little resistance in security with some food on the carry ons- we were not deterred! After all, God promised that we need not worry ourselves with what we will eat! Additionally, the challenges persisted as finally, after much time passed without pushing away from the gate, United personnel asked that we deboard the plane, as we were OVERWEIGHT!! God has a sense of humor;) (Jeania suggested Larry get off to resolve the issue, but it just didn't work out.) After a short delay, we were in the air on a different plane with less fuel (go figure) and all is well!

Now we find ourselves popping a squat in Washington DC- waiting on our flight to the dusty African plain. Our belly's are
full and we are ready to go! Of course, in America's city, Larry had to take a detour to meet Barack. We have pictures to prove it. (Though if anyone ever finds himself in a photo op with our Nation's leader, he doesn't especially appreciate bunny ears:)

Thanks to everyone for your prayers, love, and hugs. We know we have quite a prayer posse and couldn't do ANYTHING without you! Thanks again to First Baptist Desloge for their incredible hospitality and transportation to the airport! Your kindness is so appreciated!

Next time we talk, we will be in Africa! I sure can't wait to see you there!

Blessings - Kindra
