Update

I called at noon and got Cindy. She was with a group of 78 women and 30 plus men at Pastor Ngor's church. It was meant to be a meeting to answer questions that the women had about women's health issues. It got into some very basic things and Cindy has had a big learning time as they went. It was interpreted into 4 different languages. Cindy is thinking of a way to use this type teaching during clinic times. Pray for that.

Sam and Roger are in Dakar now. They were heading out to see if they could find some food to eat, anything but more rice. Roger is walking well but still needs times to put the foot up and rest. They are anxious to be home and he will be ready to preach on Sunday. They have meetings tomorrow that could be helpful for materials in the Manjaku language with the SIL mission group. Then with the Stelzers and finally with the men of the Manjaku association. So it will be busy for them before they will then get a few hours of sleep and go to the airport for departure.

The English team has had a great time helping this school and today was Mark's day to be the example of how you teach your class, so Mark showed them. Each member of the team has done a great job in presenting their teaching with some visual aids and scriptures. Yea, team! They asked the headmaster of the school what items he might need for his school and upon reading the list at the River house and checking all their supplies, found they had most of what he requested to leave with him.

Tomorrow is a day for Bloc and a visit back to the new village...as requested.

Big prayer item: there is no petrol for the vehicles in Sedhiou. Sam and Roger's driver had enough to get them to the Gambia where they purchased enough to continue their trip to Dakar. So the van needs enough to finish this work in the school and village visits and to go to Dakar when it is their turn to leave.

Another prayer item is a young Manjaku student who has died. Cindy is looking for a way to  minister through this. So pray that God gives them wisdom. All are healthy and happy and learning so much.

Given by phone to Bonnie Turner.
