Yesterday we were blessed with a very productive day of shopping Africa style. I always vow never to complain about Wal-Mart again! God provided everything we had on a list…even the “Posturepedic” mattresses…grinning. We continue to sing His praises for our safe travel.
Moussa was able to get 2 new tires and they passed the “endurance test” with flying colors on the way home. Gwen’s luggage arrived safe and sound! We didn’t have any problems at the airport and were able to claim them in record time. Yeah God!
As a lot of you know there are times you just can’t put your experience into words. My senses have just been overwhelmed with what a day in Africa can bring…dry red dirt, the feel of dust in the air, rusty metal, primitive building structures, plush green vegetation, water lilies, flowering vines, clear starry nights, smells of every kind… then to think that the God of the universe created them all! What an awesome God we serve!
Today we are to going to Bloc to visit w/Jean Pierre, the head school master. On our way home we will stop and visit w/the school master at Kauyan-Macagne. We are also hoping to arrange to show the Jesus film Friday night there. Please make that a matter of prayer.
The time restraint on our daily activities has limited our internet access. Please know that we are doing very well and are constantly thinking of friends and family. We are always treated with such warmth and hospitality! I am always amazed at how the Nationals remember our names…constantly asking about the well being of ALL our team members!
Gary …the Ibuprofen has already been a priceless commodity!…grinning!
We ended the day by going by Pastor N’gor’s church to meet the “President of Youth” along w/the choir members. Scott, I’m bringing back some African drums so get ready! I will leave you w/Pastor N’gor’s favorite scripture.“Preach the Word, be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instructions.” 2 Timothy 4:2
For His Kingdom,
Cindy
