Prayer walking Grand Yoff

Where do I even begin to tell of the marvelous deeds that HE has done today!!
We began our prayer walking by going to visit Paulette, a friend of Kaila Hedger, who lives across from the Baptist Center in Grand Yoff. Of course the first words she said was " how is Da-lipnin, his wife, and Kaila. We told her that Kaila had been ill and was having surgery today. When Sam glanced at his watch he noted that it was the precise time that Kaila was scheduled for surgery. We asked Paulette if she would like to pray w/us for Kaila...so we bowed in prayer beseeching our Father for His healing intervention upon Kaila. As soon as we said "amen" we looked up and a gentlemen by the name of Gaston was approaching us, saying that it was a divine intervention that we were there, by the love of Jesus Christ, asking if we would go to his house to visit his family, specifically his mother who was in ill health. He proceeds to tell us that they are Mandyaku!!! Only our heavenly Father could have orchestrated such an event as that! We had the privilege of visiting w/his family, meeting his mother named Christina, and Sam was able to share the gospel of Christ with them. It was one more confirmation that HE is faithful if we will cont to walk by faith in our commitment to the Mandyaku.
After we finished our visit we found that Jaqueline has returned to the Gambia. We were able to obtain her phone to share with the team that will be going from Ridgecrest to the Gambia. Jaqueline is the lady who made a profession of faith in Jan '07.
Jean Mendy then took us to meet w/his cousin's family. They are weaver's who make traditional Mandyak hand woven cloth. We have commissioned the weaving of a traditional Mandyak cloth that we can display on the cross at Calvary in order to be a reminder for us to cont in prayer intercession for the Mandyaku, a people group with less than 2% that are born again believers.
We continued our prayer walking, observing a baby naming ceremony which occurs at least 8 days to 2 mths after birth. There is much celebration with drums and dance.
Of course we experience all the sights, smells, sounds of African society. We were impressed and humbled by their friendliness and gracious hospitality. Although their living conditions are poor, they certainly are not poor in spirit.
God has bless us with another memorable, delightful day. We cont to claim the promise that God made to Caleb in Josh 14:9. "The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance and that of your children forever, because you have followed the LORD my God wholeheartedly."
Our flight leaves in the morning at 11:20. Please cont to lift us before the Father, that we will sense HIS leading in all that we do here in WA.
For His Kingdom,
Cindy
