The team has returned to the guest house in Gran Yoff and were contacted by a woman that Cindy D. met at the women's conference in Dakar in November of 2006. She runs a school for refugee children from other West African nations in Dakar. She contacted the team today to see if they could come attend to her students. According to brother Sam, the team's response was "we came to be used of the Lord, so let's work on the logistics to make it happen." They expect to check medical condition of 55 students. They chose to pursue this today, and possibly tomorrow morning, instead of the leisure time activities they had planned. God's hand is still moving folks...
They will participate in a medical debriefing session with YWAM physician Dr. Steele this afternoon to determine strategy for the next medical mission. This team is breaking ground in West Africa, and we are all part of it...
Please continue in fervent, unceasing prayer!

What an awesome opportunity to share Gods love with another group of people. Keep the love and the message of Gods words flowing! You are displaying another act of selflessness by giving up your free time and God WILL reward you for that! Brandon and Kindra, we so look forward to you being back with us safe and sound. When you feel up to it, there is a meal at the Tohlen's house waiting on you so you can share your stories with us and have a night out with friend! Love you both so much! Thanks for being such a great example of Gods love!
ReplyDeleteLove,
The Tohlen Family
Team...it is so exciting for me to see how God began to even network w/Elizabeth the work you would do today in Nov. I KNOW that you were a direct answer to her prayers. More importantly, I have been so thankful for how each one of you have walked through each "open door' (again, Col 4:2-6) that He has provided...with willing hearts to do whatever He wanted you to do! We sing His praises. Oh how I want to hear EVERY detail!
ReplyDeleteKnow that we cont to stay bowed before the throne interceding....we cannot let up...this is just the beginning of what lies ahead.
"From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked." Luke 12:48
Much love and gratitude,
Cindy
